Changes Afoot at Amber Valley Vineyards

Amber Valley Wines has renamed itself follwoing the departure of Duncan Mercer from the business and become a family run vineyard with Barry at the helm.  A refresh, new activity and a regular tour programme and online shop all feature on the new website.

New  for 2017 Mini Vineyard Tours with Tastings in the Orchard 

Our new mini tours, for a minimum of 4 people at a time last about an hour.  Listen to Barry talk about the vineyard year, English vine growing and a little about its history to finish with a tasting of Amber Valley Wines' own wines in the orchard. 

Orchard Planting to be Completed in January 2016

The final six  trees to complete the orchard are going in the ground in early January, weather permitting.  Another two Newton Wonders and two Egremont Russets. We are adding a couple of pear trees too, Comice and William pears.  Will a Perry be in the offing?  Time will tell!

Winery Plans Approved!

Amber Valley Wines were granted planning permission to build a winery close to the orchard in Wessington.  In time, our ciders will be made in this facility.
